The biggest thing I see is ppl saying “Tupac, biggie did it too” speaking on life issues. Now personally that’s not political, it’s just valid issues. But also even IF you see it as political there was never a sub genre of political rap until Tom created it. So yeah they spoke on shit but if you wanna be factual he DID create the sub genre of “politic rap” also idk a bigger flex than to get out the system, retire your moms. Get ya dad anything he want, give his sis an infinitely better life, AND give more to the vets than our government(I know I’m a vet and they fuckin suck don’t let them fool you). I am a fan of the original version of this song. It came out when I was a teenager, so I always used to sing it at the top of my lungs. Now that I'm an adult, Ronnie's version made me pay attention to the lyrics, and understand the meaning behind them.

I thought I was gonna fall outta my chair when that drop hit and you had to get a drink of water. lol I had the exact same reaction the first time I heard this song too. I can't explain why, but when that drop hit I shot straight up outta my chair and had to walk it out for a minute. You know, collect the scattered pieces of my brain type of thing. lol And when you said you imagined this being the soundtrack playing while you ascended to the sky, well that's when I hit subscribe. Let me put it this way. If Baldwin was experienced at all, that tragedy wouldnt have happened. The staff on the set failed, but any trained person checks the chamber before posing with a gun, real or fake. There were so many basic safety checks that were skipped on that set, it was horrible.
